Psychoanalytically Oriented Psychotherapy

The core of my services is psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy in accordance with the Austrian Psychotherapy Act. This depth-psychological method explores unconscious processes, inner conflicts, and formative relational experiences that influence your present emotional life and behavior.

The goal is not merely short-term symptom relief, but sustainable psychological transformation. Within a structured and protected therapeutic setting, recurring patterns and inner tensions can gradually become understandable and open to change. Sessions typically last 45 minutes and take place once or several times per week, depending on your individual therapeutic plan. Professional quality, clarity, and reliability form the basis of the therapeutic work.

Areas of Support and Therapeutic Focus

Psychotherapy can be beneficial in various life situations. It may help in cases of depression, anxiety, or persistent emotional distress. Psychosomatic complaints, relationship and attachment difficulties, as well as repetitive self-limiting patterns can also be addressed within the therapeutic process.

In addition, I provide support in working through experiences of loss, trauma, and inner conflict. Questions concerning identity, self-esteem, and personal meaning are equally part of psychoanalytic exploration. The depth-oriented approach allows underlying dynamics to be recognized and gradually transformed, fostering emotional stability and greater clarity in everyday life.

Process and Framework

Psychotherapy begins with one or more initial consultations. These meetings provide space to clarify your concerns, biographical background, and current challenges. You will also receive a transparent introduction to the psychoanalytic method and the therapeutic framework.

Following these sessions, we decide together whether a therapeutic collaboration is appropriate. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is typically longer-term, as it aims at structural psychological change. All sessions are subject to strict professional confidentiality as required by Austrian law.

I do not work with health insurance companies. Treatment is provided on a private basis, ensuring a stable, reliable, and clearly defined therapeutic setting.
